About Us

Me and my Family

My name is Marie Adams-Greaves I am an Ofsted registered and NCMA insured child minder. I have a daughter, Chantelle (12) and a son, Joshua (20 months). I live with my husband Adey, who is a teacher at a local secondary school

I enjoy working with children and accepting them into our home, I aim to make them feel part of the family.

My Qualifications

Unit 1 - Introducing Childminding Practice
Basic Food Hygiene
Basic Computer skills
First Aid Certificate

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

I am currently looking into completeing the following courses:

Unit 2: Childcare and child development (0-16)
Unit 3: The childcare practitioner
Unit 4: Working in partnership with parents
Unit 5: Planning to meet the children's individual learning needs

My Home and Facilities

Children’s needs are best met when space and resources allow children to play and learn.

The environment should be warm and welcoming to children and parents.
It should be safe and secure, with space organised and used to promote children’s development.

I live in a spacious 3 bedroom house with a good sized garden.

I am registered to care for up to 5 children under the age of 8 years (this currently includes my own son).

All records of children and parents are kept accurate and up to date, they are stored securely and kept confidential at all times.

Insurance

My public liability insurance is with NCMA I comply with all the requirements laid down by the insurance company. I have appropriate car insurance for business use and always ensure that children are restrained in a safety seat or with seat belts suitable for their age/weight.
